A two-way fireplace separates the formal dining and living rooms while an office/den sits nearby. The gourmet kitchen features chocolate-colored cabinetry, granite counters, "Wolf" and "Miele" appliances. The owners' suite rests at the top of the home, accessed by an elevator or stairs, and offers a luxurious bath, dual wardrobe closets, a wetbar and more commanding Strip views. Secondary bedrooms offer in-suite baths and walk-in closets.
Ten years in the planning, developer Rich MacDonald's vision of an intimate, private enclave of luxury homes on a commanding mountainside, has become a widely celebrated reality. "You don't get a second chance," notes Rich MacDonald, developer of MacDonald Highlands. He's referring to the process of designing and developing "MacDonald Highlands", the prestigious hillside community in Henderson, Nevada. "It's one time around, so it better be done the right way and it's even more critical when your name is right there on the entry monument!" he says with a broad grin.
